This Person Does Not Exist is a website that offers access to an artificial intelligence capable of generating credible images of fictional human faces. Each page update presents a new image, the process behind which is a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) called StyleGAN. Attempts are almost always successful and the procedure only rarely fails to do what it is intended to do. When this happens, the results can be strange and disturbing.
